We want people to be touched by the Love of God by the Holy Spirit through the worship service ministry, through the people of God at FCC reaching out in love, building relationships, through obedience to the Word of God. We strive for the local body at FCC to commit more and more to the Great Commandment: Love God and love people with everything you’ve got and to commit in greater way to be obedient to the New Commandment to love the way Jesus loved and continues to loves (Matt. 22:37-39; Jn. 13:34).
We believe the Bible places the teaching of the Word of God (the Bible) as being our primary responsibility within the local church. We believe the Bible from Genesis through Revelation is the inspired Word of God “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” We strive to utilize people with teaching gifts to “equip the saints for works of service.” We want Christian to grow in their faith.
We strive to experience true fellowship in all our ministries at FCC (Acts 2:42), understanding that this is attainable only as one is in fellowship with God (I John 1:3). We want to see believers in Christ become more and more a community of lives shared together in unity under the common bond of the love of the Lord Jesus Christ experienced through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
We strive to be a church that is more and more committed to the ministry of encouragement, understanding that this doesn’t simply mean a pat-on-the-back but being committed to “speaking the truth in love.” We want to see people encouraged in their faith as they encounter the many challenges of life. We strive for our people to be continually challenged in the Word of God so they will be encouraged to reach the lost through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Rom. 1:16; Matt. 28:19-20).
